The First International Festival of Jordanian Dates 2018 is under the patronage of His Highness King Abdullah II, the king of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs in the United Arab Emirates, and attended by a number of Arab Ministers, members of the Arab and international diplomatic corps residing in the Kingdom, commercial attachés in Jordan, representatives of international companies specialized in palm cultivation, date production, designing and processing the equipment and tools of grading and packing of dates, and experts and traders of dates around the world, along with Jordanian experts who were refined by the Jordanian experience in cultivating and producing the Medjool dates in a non-traditional style.
Participating International Organizations
A number of strategic partners and international organizations such as Ministry of Agriculture in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (MOA), Jordan Dates Association (JODA), FAO, the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), Date Palm Global Network (DPNG), the Date Palm Friends Society of the UAE (DFS), international organizations operating in the Kingdom and local civil society institutions, along with research and excellence centers and Greater Amman Municipality will be participate in the First International Festival of Jordanian dates 2018.
Who Can Participate in the Exhibition?
01The fruitful palm farmers in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Arab countries, and Al Majhool dates farmers around the world.
02International companies manufacturing equipment and tools for palm dates in general, and Al Majhool dates in particular.
03Producers and local agents of production inputs for date production, including packaging companies.
04Producers of seedlings and textural palm offspring.
Festival Activities
01: Dates Exhibition
Dates Exhibition includes about 50 unified-design suites with an area of 3 x 3 (9 m2), each will be equipped with a presentation and conserve table, shelves and two chairs, according to the attached drawing, as well as, free electrical and internet connections will be available.

المقدمة
تعمل جائزة خليفة الدولية لنخيل التمر والابتكار الزراعي وضمن أهدافها الاستراتيجية لتطوير قطاع نخيل التمر والابتكار الزراعي على المستوى المحلي والدولي عبر إطلاق وتبني عدد من الأنشطة والفعاليات والمسابقات لتشجيع المزارعين والباحثين والمهتمين بالقطاع الزراعي ونخيل التمر وتحفيزهم على الإبداع والابتكار والتميز وبث روح المنافسة الشريفة للارتقاء بهذا القطاع.
ضمن هذه الرؤية الواعدة تأتي مبادرة الجائزة في تنظيم المهرجان الدولي الأول للتمور الأردنية بعمان خلال الفترة 21 - 23 أكتوبر 2018، بالتعاون مع وزارة الزراعة بالمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، وجمعية التمور الاردنية والشبكة الدولية لنخيل التمر (DPGN) وجمعية أصدقاء النخلة بالإمارات، الذي يشمل ضمن فعالياته إطلاق مسابقة للتمور الأردنية لتحفيز وتكريم المزارعين من أصحاب أجود أنواع التمور الأردنية المنتجة في مناطق الأردن المختلفة، علماً بأن باب المشاركة مفتوحاً لكافة مزارعي ومنتجي ومصنعي التمور على مستوى المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية.
الرؤية
تمكين مزارعي النخيل ومصنعي التمور الأردنية ورفع كفاءتها للمنافسة بها على المستوى الدولي.
الأهداف
تهدف المسابقة إلى خلق روح التنافس الإيجابي بين مزارعي النخيل المحليين بالسودان وتطوير النشاط الإبداعي للوصول إلى مستويات عالية من الإنتاج والنوعية لكافة أصناف التمور المحلية بالسودان وبالتالي رفع المستوى المادي وتشجيع تصنيع وتعبئة التمور لأغراض التصدير خارج مناطق الإنتاج لباقي ولايات جمهورية السودان وصولاً إلى تسويقه دولياً، مع رفع كفاءة وزيادة معرفة المزارعين بالتقنيات الحديثة في عمليات الخدمة والإنتاج وتقنيات ما بعد الحصاد.
